GMADA has announced plans to undertake special repairs for parks in eight blocks of Aerocity, including Blocks A, B, C, D, E, G, I, and J. This initiative aims to enhance the green spaces in the area and improve the quality of life for residents. Work on upgrading the key roads of IT City will be taken up at a subsequent stage.

“The tendering process has begun and the actual work is expected to start by November end,” said an official.

Officials from GMADA have announced the ongoing upgrade of the 200-ft PR-7 road, stretching from junction 73-74 to NH-5 (formerly NH-21) on the Chandigarh-Kharar route. Meanwhile, the unfinished segment of the 100-ft HR3 road connecting Eco City Phase 1 to PR-6 road in New Chandigarh will be developed in the next few months.

Tenders for repairing the damaged wall of H-Block in Aerocity were officially closed today. Recent floods in the Mohali district caused extensive damage to infrastructure, including roads, boundary walls, and parks. According to the GMADA Divisional Engineer (C-1), the boundary wall and internal roads of H-Block sustained significant damage during the heavy rains on July 9-10.
